Went to the gym today to run five miles, injured toe and all. Although I had no expectations, I was concerned that running might make things worse. Sometimes I think the anticipation of the pain is worse than the actual pain, liking getting shots.

Training Day Twenty Seven – 10 Miles!

Finished 10 miles for the first time. This was a treadmill run, so it isn’t quite the same as heading outdoors but I am really just trying to get the distance. It is also difficult to run with kids and the gym has a child care center which is rather useful.

Training Day Twenty Four – 8 miles Part Two

I managed to finish in 77 minutes which is under a 10 minute mile pace. Like my last eight mile run, it wasn’t as fast as I would hope but I seem to hit a wall around 6 miles.
