Training Day Nineteen – A Bad Running Day

image Why do we have to have crappy days? I don’t know if I am being punished for slacking in San Diego or if I was just fighting something but I sucked yesterday. It was a simple three mile run that felt long and difficult.

I was ok for the first 2 miles but definitely not feeling to flow. Around 2.2 miles I started having pain in my left flank which was accompanied by a hot-flash and dizziness.

Bad Feelings

I felt like my body suddenly decided it was sick or just plain tired. Very weird. Anyway, I walked for a quarter mile, until the pain went away, then returned to running. I finished three miles in 30:28. Not in-line with my recent best but not my worst either.

Whatever this funk is, I hope its gone by Thursday.
